Fifth Day-28/2/2011

Today is Monday. Its the first day for the language class. I woke up at 7am and ate bread. We went to the train station by bicycle. We took 90 minutes train to Zurich and we reached there on time. Zurich is really different from the place I live (Kreuzlingen). Zurich is full of buildings and banks.We met with other afs students and I saw Zen Yang and Sham.

I met some new friends. All of them are from different country include Australia, Costa Rica, Thailand, Japan and Peru. From the main train station, we took bus to the Migros Language School. Before the lesson start, we need to sign an aggrement and took a test. The teacher told us, their aim for the one month german course is to help us to get 10marks in the exam. We will take the same test at the first day and the last day of school. I got 13 marks for my test, and the teacher looked very surprise.Haha..Actually, I do not know the correct answer and I just guess ( tembak!!)

The class is boring. Because the teacher keep repeating the same thing and she spoke in German more than English. I could not understand what she say. During the lunch time, all the afs students ( about 30ppl) gather at a room. The room was very noisy becuse everyone speak in different language . I didnt talk much with peoples from others country. Erm..maybe I am not so sociable and it is first day.

When the class end, we went to the main train station. Most of their parents came but not for me. I need to take train by myself. I am so so so unlucky. I missed my train at 3.07pm, and i dunno why. I stand at the right place but the train didnt come. I am so so so nervous. Luckily, i found Sham and her mother. So, they help me to call Monika to tell her I will be late and I took the tain at 3.37pm.

Its about 5pm when I reach Kreuzlingen's train station. I saw Benno and we cycle home. It was so so so super cold and I forgot to wear scarf.At night, I learn how to use the washing machine and other machines. They cooked Asian food for me. For me, the food are nice..but they not really like it (make me feel bit guilty..esp the instant noodle..).

Fourth Day-27/2/2011

Today is Sunday. I woke up at 10am. I stayed at my room to learn some German words. Monika went out early in the morning for the performance. I went to the kitchen and ate the breakfast alone. Benno was awake but is a bit hard to communicate with him. Because his english is not good and my german is not good.

When Silvia woke up, I chat with her in the kitchen and she taught me some German words. It was raining so I stay at home. We made pizza for lunch (Erm..actually I am only watching her made the pizza). The pizza she made is really different from the pizza hut.

About 3pm, Micheal and his girlfriend, Katja came home. They are friendly especially Katja. They taught me how to play the Swiss Card Game. It is not hard to learn. We played for two rounds and chit-chat. Katja said I am welcomed to visit her house and her house is in a small village. A village that has cows more tham people and covered with green grass. I really look forward to go there. Katja's sister is taking part in the beauty contest in Switzerland. Hope that she will become the champion. Actually, they planned to bring me to the aquarium in Germany, but I am not allow to go to other country yet :(.

Today whole day rain and I stayed at home for the whole day. After the dinner, Monika show me some magazines. I saw the beautiful scenery in Switzerland especially the picture of the high bridge (Bernina!!) and also the picture of the lake. At the moment, I tell myself :I must go to the high bridge in the summer( pass by Italy) !:D

Third Day-26/2/2011

Today is Saturday and I woke up at 6am because of jetlag. I stayed in my room and learn some German words. I have my breakfast at 9am..I ate cereals with milk. It taste nice.

I went to the shop with Benno. We went to the shop with a car from the car sharing company. Its really special. They start the car engine by using a card instead of a car key.The shop is really different from Malysia. They buy many drinks in one time, carry by trolley. They can also return the bottles to the shop to gain discount.

Besides, we go to the farm to buy potatos and eggs. I saw many many cows, baby cows and 2 horse. Because of the weather, the animals are in indoor. We also went to the train station to buy the special card. But I am not allow to get the card because I havent recieve any letter from the government. Monika bought tickets for me. The tickets are so so expensive and I felt a bit guilty.

I have salad, potatos and chicken for lunch. It is delicious. Monika show me the accordian. She has 3 accordian in different size. I tried it and found it is difficult to learn but its sounds nice. Monika played for me and she praticed for the performance on the next day.

After I played with the computer, me and Monika went to cycle. The bicycle is different from the one in Malaysia. I tried a few times. At last, I am able to ride it. We went to the lake and saw many boats. It is so so so so cold to ride bicycle during the winter.

I slept at 10pm :)

Second Day-25/2/2011

It really took a long time to reach Switzerland. We took the flight to Singapore. Luckily, we didn't need to check out and check in our luggage. I always worried that my luggage is overweight. It took us 13 hours to reach Frankfurt, Germany airport. It was torturing..and I didnt sleep well. In Frankfurt airport, we being ask by the police..and walked for a long distance. My bag was damn heavy. Luckily, we reached Switzerland safely!!

In the Zurich airport, I was nervous. I didn't know what should I say or do when I meet up with my host parents. When I met them, they are friendly. But I still felt a bit awkward and nervous. We waited for the train. We took the train, changed train and took bus. After 100mins, we reached home.

The house is really different from Malaysia. Look from outside is not big, but inside has many rooms and spaces. I have my own room and the room is nice. We have salad, spagetti and tea for lunch. Not too bad! After that, we walked to the lake. The lake is so big and the scenery is so nice. But is very very very cold.

First Day-24/2/2011

Today, I leave Malaysia. We went to the KLIA airport for the flight (not LCCT!!). I am very happy to recieve presents from my friends esp the card. It mean a lot to me. I didnt cry. I thought I will but end up I didnt. Erm..maybe I became stronger..Its a good news! I hope that my sis will recover!!
