Today is Sunday. I woke up at 6am because I need to reach Zurich main station at 8.30am to catch the train at 8.34am. I reached there on time to meet Zen. Both of us are going to Basel ( the 3rd biggest city in Switzerland) for the Carnival. We missed the 8.34am train because Zen woke up late and he reached the train station at 8.55am. He run and luckily we caught the train at 9.00am. Because of the rush, he forgot to take his wallet. All his money and his half-price card ( a card that can help him to get half price for all train, bus and ferry) were in the wallet. Therefore, he need to use my money to buy a new ticket and he need to pay extra 5 Franken ( for fund) !! I only brought 50 Franken and he already use up 41 Franken..
We reached Basel at 9.50am and we met Fei San (a girl from Malaysia). We chat, walked around and took some pictures. After that, we walked to the Zoo!! The zoo is not as big as I thought ( a bit disappointed!). But at least, I saw some animals that are quite special. So, it still worth.
We met Simon ( an afs volunteer) at 1.40pm and she brought us to a Carnival in Sisach. The Carnival is special and new to me. Its different from the Carnival I went with my host sister.I got many sweets because those people in custome will give other people sweets, orange, potatos, chewing gums and ext.
After two hours of Carnival, we went to Simon house. We were tired because we need to take train and walk to Simon house with a heavy bag. We also went to ATM machines because Zen still need money to buy another train ticket and we need to buy badges that symbolis the Carnival. Her house is at country side but big and nice :D. We ate, chat and watched movie.
Actually, me and Zen planned to sleep because we still need to go to another Carnival in Basel that start at 4am. But Simon's friends came to her house and they are going to the Carnival too. So, all of us didnt sleep. We watched movie again, ordered Pizza and played cards. Around 2.30am, we walked to the train station to take train. Many people in the train station..
The weather was cold..and I was super super super sleepy..
