310th Day- 31/12/2011

Today, we woke up early AGAIN, because Tommy had to catch his flight and he requested that we accompany him to the airport. Fei San and I were super tired! We got to the airport on time, but I wasn’t able to eat breakfast. We were a bit angry, because when we reached airport, he told us that he was going to Venice instead of going back to Germany! If he is so independent and can go everywhere without telling others, why can't he go to an airport by himself?


After saying goodbye, I went to train station! I bought bread and waited 30mins for my train! The train ride was 2.5 hours back home and I suffered!! I felt so sick and had a headache! Maybe it’s because yesterday I caught a cold! The worst thing was that it was raining everywhere, and today is NEW YEAR'S EVE!!


When I reached home, I was really not in a good mood! I ate lunch with my family and went to sleep! I felt so sorry for myself that I had to get sick on this special day. I wouldn’t have been able to attend the countdown 'party' with my family in the forest! My host mum's brother has a hut in a forest, and they always go there to BBQ and count down!

Luckily, after 3 hours of sleep, I felt much better, and the countdown plan was changed to take place indoors (because of the weather)! I went and it was not as bad as I thought it would be! I was the only one under 28… lol!! It was a bit boring, but they tried their best to talk to me. It was a good experience to see how they celebrate. ;D They were so interested about Malaysia and I talked to them about it, clarifying a lot of misconceptions!


I celebrated New Years with a new family, a new language, a new environment, new weather... I hope everything signifies a good start. 2012, here I come!!

309th Day-30/12/2011

I woke up around 7am, and I was damn tired! It was all because of Tommy. He came to Switzerland again, and we had to bring him around! Tommy, Fei San and I were in a rush, because according Fei San, we had to catch a train on time! Before that, we still had to prepare sandwich and walk to the tram station! After rushing, we finally caught the tram on time! When we reached Luzern, we decided to stay there and walked around! Lol..we had no reason to rush this morning!!!


Luzern was as nice as usual :D We walked by the souvenir shop and bought some things :D Hehe..the whole day, I was so excited because of the things I bought. Fei San and I really found that Tommy brought us luck. In Luzern,it snowed, and after snowing,there was a big big ginormous huge gigantic sun, and when we got into the train station, the whole city rained heavily!!

After Luzern, we took a special train to get up to a mountain called Engelberg. Actually, the plan was to sled on the mountain, but because it was snowing was too hard, the cable car was closed and we could not do it :(. Although the original plan didn't worked out, we were still damn happy and excited to see so so so much snow!! There were big big snow flakes :D

The whole day, we just spent our time taking pictures on the snow..with so many different posts :D Typical Asians :DWe made snow angel, and Tommy carried me and throw me into the snow and made a very cute snowman! Around 2pm, we went back to train station to take a break, because the train station had heater :D. We happened to meet an Indian family from Singapore!! They brought curry,rice and veggies for lunch and they offered some to us!! So cool :D

The worst thing of the day was my shoes! When we reached the mountain, I just realised that there are 2 holes in my shoes and it was so cool and my whole feet were numb!! It was really painful and suffered greatly! Luckily, Fei San understood how I felt and helped me :D Thanks and sorry for troubling you guys!!

308th Day- 29/12/2011

I woke up at 5am :(. Benno, Monika, Silvia and I had to take a four-hour train to another place. We were going to go Langlaufski (Cross-country skiing). It is a type of skiing, but not the type that the teenagers do and it is on flat lands instead of on mountain!! On the train, there were a lot of teenagers with their skis and snowboards.

We reached Sameden, one of the Swiss Alps around 11am. We borrowed the ski apparatus and changed.At the start, I wasted so much time to placing my feet on the ski. So embrassing because I failed to do it!

Overall, the Langlaufski was not bad, although we kept repeating the same movements! It was super tiring! At the beginning, I was regretted wearing too many jackets and it was not as hot as I expected. The panaroma there was super nice, and it was snowing! I fell down a few times :( Silvia didn't join us, and she went on a walk with her snow shoes.

We had lunch in a village and continued after lunch :D Around 3pm, we were done, and we left Sameden.

We went to St. Moritz, a super high-class and expensive town! The lighting there was super cool. I think it was the best in Switzerland!! I saw the most expensive hotel in Switzerland, which cost a minumum of 1000 chf (RM3500) per night!! Many woman were wearing fur coats and there wrtr a ton of brand new shops!!!!

It was a nice day with my family. We said goodbye on the train, because I was taking the train to Basel, Fei San's house :D
