300th Day-21/12/2011

Today I went to Zurich with SF, Bio and chemistry classmates. At first, I was worried because I am not close with them. Luckily everything wennt very well! I found someone to talk to and the whole day was quite interesting.

We went to the University of Zurich and attended a talk that was about DNA. We were given a criminal case and we had to imagine ourselve as CSI agents to try and find the criminal. It was so a special and creative idea. We were able to involve ourselves in the process of examining DNA. The whole process was almost the same as the process in a Hong Kong Drama :D

But during the theory part, I could not understand everything and I found it boring. The person in charge also showed us around the university. The university is one of the top universities in the world and it is really huge!! I saw many Asians and the person in change told me many things work in English instead of German. Maybe one day I can come back to Switzerland and take a semester course here :D

After the visit, mostly everyone went home but I stayed in Zurich. I walked around to see the Christmas decorations, but I kind of regretted not going home with them.

My day was nice until back home and saw my friend's status on Facebook! The Thai girl that was in my class last year came to Switzerland! On Facebook, my classmates were all so excited about it and kept talking about her! I was so 不爽!! Maybe I was childish, over thinking things or just jealous. I just could not accept that she needed to come during this month during this year, when I am still in Switzerland. At the beginning of my exchange year, I was bombarded with questions such as the different Malaysia and Thailand, do you speak Thai, have you been to Thailand before. My classmates always talked about the last exchange student!! And now they finally stopped but she came back!!

But really a big thanks to Alexandra and Fei San who tried their best to console me :D
